Psychographics- Audience classification (presentation)

If I had to pick a psychographic group that I best fit in it would be Explorers and Mainstreamers. This is because I always like to have a challenge and love to try new things out. I love travelling and am curious. However, I tend to do things the way society would see as normal, so I do tend to follow what society has constructed as 'normal'. I don't really watch many arthouse

Blog task: binary oppositions and ideology

1) One example of binary opposition I can suggest from watching this clip is  immigrants vs British people .  This is clearly illustrated as Nigel argues the point about  overcrowding  as a result of immigration and the general quality of life has gone down. Another binary opposition suggested from this clip is   rich vs poor . This is seen when Nigel makes the point about the upper classes being at a  disadvantage  because of overcrowding, but Russell makes the point about how money is not being distributed in an equal way and that the poor are also at a disadvantage because of this. Furthermore, another binary opposition in this clip is   immigration vs corruption . 'Reading an image'- Reebok

Connotation The connotations of this advert is to promote that  brand  "Reebok". The character is more dominant, because its a large  image  of his face. This advert also shows a quote, which could suggest that its about  inspiration  and aimed at  inspiring  the  younger generation. Denotation The characters face is shown to show his  dominance .- he is looking straight into the camera to  engage with the audience.  There is also an image showing fingerprints, so his  identity is revealed. Target audience I believe that this advert is aimed at  younger males- teens and youths, who are into sports.  This is because the font of the writing is  unorthodox , so its almost  rebellious .
