  • Personal relationships- creates a bond, people have experienced that or will be experiencing it soon.
  • Diversion- celeb gossip
5) This story reflects the values and ideologies of Teen Vogue as its about celebrity gossip and fashion which is what the magazine is about. 

I would say that this is an example of clickbait rather than quality journalism as at the end of the article it has ads to clothing you can buy so basically a skill to trap people to end up buying clothes.

1) One example of binary opposition I can suggest from watching this clip is  immigrants vs British people .  This is clearly illustrated as Nigel argues the point about  overcrowding  as a result of immigration and the general quality of life has gone down. Another binary opposition suggested from this clip is   rich vs poor . This is seen when Nigel makes the point about the upper classes being at a  disadvantage  because of overcrowding, but Russell makes the point about how money is not being distributed in an equal way and that the poor are also at a disadvantage because of this. 1) Conflict: Afghan conflict, US carried out its first air strike in response to the Taliban. Progress: Switzerland voted in favour of LGBTQ+ protection bill shows progress because it shows that the community is becoming widely accepted across the globe. Disaster: The coronavirus! A current global issue which has lead to many deaths. Consequence: London knife crime has increased fear among society. Prominence: Phillip Scofield coming out as gay has caused a lot of controversy. Many people support his decision, while others see it as 'unfaithful'.  Novelty: Kobe Bryant killed in a helicopter crash, along with his daughter and 5 others. 2) The example used in the factsheet is of a British servicewoman who died as a result of an Afghan bomb blast. This is an appropriate example  to gain prominent coverage because it reflects various news values. Introduction to feminism:Case study- Everyday Sexism

1) Laura Bates started the Everyday Sexism project because she realised that it was a  recurring  issue in her and almost every other women's life. Until speaking out about her experiences with others about the  sexual harassment  she gets, Laura thought it was normal due to everyone shutting her down and saying that women are equal now.
